For those of you who aren't aware, I'm a big fan of hollow knight. I've beaten the game a few times, even attempted some amateur speedruns. It's a good game, well worth checking out!!
So, while waiting for the sequel to eventually release, I discovered a nicely sized modding community for hollow knight. A lot of mods just change the visuals, allowing you to play as different characters, and some affect gameplay balance to make the game harder or easier, but the one that stood out to me as adding the most replayability was the randomizer mod.
Randomizer mods will randomize certain aspects of a game, it could be something as simple as item pickups being swapped around, to rooms and dungeons being in different places. Most of these mods add challenge to the game since they completely break the intended progression.
The randomizer for hollow knight includes options for completely shuffling rooms, so whenever you go through a door into the next area, you never know where you'll end up... and there's hundreds of different rooms, making it near impossible to navigate.

I made this tool to help me keep track of my progress, since finding my way around was pretty hopeless otherwise :)
Here's how one of my runs started out with the randomizer:
